This research examines of "Al-Nasf" (annihilation/pulverization) in the Holy Qur'an through an objective and semantic study. It aims to trace the term across its various Qur'anic contexts, elucidate its linguistic and theological dimensions, and distinguish its semantic nuances from neighboring terms within the lexical field. The study employs an inductive approach to track the root (n-s-f) in the verses, alongside a semantic-analytical approach to deconstruct its contextual occurrences. The findings reveal that "Al-Nasf" in Qur'anic usage transcends mere destruction; it signifies the uprooting of an object from its origin, followed by its complete dispersal and obliteration, leaving no traceable remains. Furthermore, the study uncovers a dual contextual dimension for the term: a theological dimension manifested in cleansing the earth from polytheism (the pulverization of Samiri's calf), and a cosmic dimension demonstrating absolute divine power on the Day of Judgment (the blowing away of mountains). The study recommends further semantic exploration of Qur'anic terminology related to cosmic transformations in light of modern linguistics.
