Abstract

The emergence of the Party of Authenticity and Modernity (PAM) in Morocco represents a major transformation in the country’s political landscape, a shift primarily shaped by its close connections with the monarchy. Distinguished by its substantial parliamentary support, the PAM is essentially a coalition of newcomers to the political scene, most of whom came from small pro-palace parties. It is widely regarded as a tool for restructuring the party system under royal supervision. The historical efforts aimed at unifying pro-palace forces into a single political party reveal the extent of the party’s strength and influence.
