The military institution is considered one of the important pillars in the establishment of states, as political entities in ancient times and the eras that followed relied on the establishment of armies to protect their lands from external aggression and to maintain order, in addition to the desire for expansion and control. The history of ancient Greece was not outside this rule or framework. Among the most important matters related to the military institution is knowing the entities and the manner through which weapons and the equipment necessary for this institution are manufactured.
